THE TIME HAS COME!
...Who wants to help me assassinate my brother??!!!
Alright dudes, the saga continues... It went down like this:
Today I was upstairs putting away laundry. I had Andrew Bird playing on my cd player. Adam comes up to start getting ready for work.
Before he even gets up the stairs he yells, "Turn this stupid crap off!!!"
I respond, "You've *got* to be kidding me?!! Adam, his music is incredible! He's so talented and he's a genius with so many different instruments! And listen, that's him whistling along with each note!!"
His response: walking in and TURNING OFF *MY* CD PLAYER!!!
I'm like, "Hey!! Get off my stuff!"
He then starts whistling (horribly) and tells me, "So what?! Oh he can *whistle*? haha *Anyone* can do that!" and he just kept on whistling...horribly.
This is my flesh & blood. Huh?

...And *WE* had a funny conversation...
This took place in my house about an hour ago...As if we needed further proof of how ridiculous my brother is! Read on:
Setting: Adam & I are playing darts with Page France playing on my computer...
Adam: Dude! You listen to the *most horrible* music!!
Me: WHAAAT??!!! Adam, this is the band we went to see last nite! The one you said played "Circus Music"! I thought you said it was *different*, but I didn't know you HATED it???
Adam: It sounds like hippy music...
Me: Ok, here, what about this...? (I put on some Sigur Ros)
Adam: Wait! Is this that noisy, howling crap you always listen to when you're in the shower?? That "oooooohh ooo ooo" garbage??
Teresa: You have bad taste...
Adam: If NOT listening to this means I have "bad taste", then I'm glad [to have "bad taste"]!
I will give him this: He liked the You...or well, at least he said, "Well, this is better than that other crap..."
Oh man...

We Had A Good Conversation...
I would just like to say that I have some really great friends--and for that I am truly appreciative. There are lots of people in this world who have people that they "have good times with", and that's all well & good, but in addition to having folks who I know I can always have a good time with, I'm just really grateful that I have people who I can really connect with and have long talks with that leave me (and I hope them as well!) feeling well fed, uplifted & satisfied. It sounds cheesey, but that's what these times are like for me: they feed my spirit & remind me of everything in this life that's worth a damn. I've been sharing a lot of these times & talks with friends recently...and it's been very, very good.
So, thanks, dudes! You know who you are--and I love you all very much.
(One of these friends also likes to give me good music--which I am currently listening to/uploading to iTunes/enjoying immensely! Thanx! Here's a hint: her posture is awesome. ;)

Eeeewwwwwwww!!!
Does anyone know of a humane way to get rid of a snake??? Cause Jess suggested something her uncles use to do--something about chopping their heads off with the end of a shovel--and I don't quite know what I think about that...
My brother is determined to "get him". So, we shall see...!!

UGH...
This, in my opinion, is how you know your life is getting out of control:
You cannot remember the last time you slept in your own bed, unless you count the power naps you've been taking in preparation for going out after midnight.
Again I say: UGH!!!
But it's all over now, and this upcoming week in NC is looking like a little slice of heaven to me...

My Week In Pictures: 4th of July Fun!!!
This quite possibly has been the best 4th of July holiday ever! It's as if this week's been a non-stop party, and it's not even over yet! The past 2 nights I've been out with an old friend of mine (Tim) who's visiting from Texas (more details on that to come, but suffice it to say, living in Texas = loving country western bars...oh maan!)--and tonite a buddy of his is throwing a 4th of July *after* party...so here we go again! Unfortunately I have no pics from my time with Tim, but here are some lovely shots from earlier this week...Enjoy! :)

Tonite was a lot of fun! I hung out with some good friends who I don't get to spend a whole lot of time with usually! We enjoyed the crappy-turned-nice weather, the crowd, a gigantic snow"cone" that could have more accurately been described as a snow"bucket", and of course, the fireworks. The absolute highlight however, was meeting a monkey!!! He was the cutest little thing ever...and now I want one!
See, as we were parking in the garage, I saw these two dudes standing around by their car talking...and one was holding a baby bottle. I looked again, but saw no kid, but did notice that he had something tiny in his hand, wrapped up in a pink blanket. Now I was staring. I caught a quick glance at a little face and was completely delighted! I opened Jo-Nathan's car door before he'd even got us into a space and ran down the ramp to where the guys were and was like, "Oh my gosh!! How cute!! Why do you have a monkey?!!" Amy, Bre, and Michelle followed me--as did a reluctant Nathan, Joel, Jo-Nathan & Dan--and just like that, the monkey-boys had succeeded at making some friends...and I had succeeded at getting to meet the lil' monkey!!!
The rest of the nite we kept seeing them (in truth, we (and by "we" I mean the girls) were trying to keep them in our sights cause we wanted to hold the monkey), but none of us had the guts to approach them *again* and anyways, Joel told us we were lame. haha Bre & I only took this as a challenge however, and by the end of the nite, after the crowd had cleared and we pretty much figured we'd never see them again, lo & behold they appeared right beside us on our way out! (And I will call this Fate, because we had to have been some of the very last people to leave the Point--we'd intentionally waited so we could take funny silhouette pictures in front of the fountain. Conclusion: the monkey was Meant For Me!) hah. Anyways, so this led to all of us heading over to the PPG fountains, where I spent more time with this guy Eddie and the adorable but nameless monkey. It was fun to venture slightly into the fountain, but it was nowhere near hot enough to run through them as Slafka and I had done before...and anyways, we (the girls again) got the feeling that these boys were just a little too enthused about us getting drenched, so we opted out. We took lots of pictures of us, the boys, and the monkey, so hopefully I will actually get some of those. The boys offered to send them to us, so I ended up giving Eddie my number. He seemed like a nice enough guy. 28, graduated from Duquesne, good job, travels a lot, originally from Puerto Rico. Though it would be pretty cool if he actually called...I'm *really* hoping to hear from him so that I can reconnect with the monkey.
My night also included a phone call from another fellow...of the "one of the ones that got away" variety...he will be in town this Thursday nite...and we've already made plans. We'll see how it goes...
Adios!

An ~Amazing~ Day!
Today was wonderful, but since I am currently running on a mere 3 hrs. of sleep, I will have to settle for a list (which I'll perhaps elaborate on later):
1. New store manager seems great
2. Diamond earrings!
3. Black macrame flats for $10--just like the pair Megan has that I've been coveting!
4. Laying out in the sun
5. Pleasant and long-overdue break through in "The River Why"
6. Quality house/yard/garage upkeep time with Adam...which resulted in...
7. ME HAVING A BIKE!!!
(Alright, I'll stay up a few minutes longer to elaborate on my joy... As it turns out, my mother's old bike was NOT thrown away or auctioned off years ago! Nope, it was just buried under tons of crap and hidden behind my dad's old fishing boat! Tonite we stumbled upon it and Adam helped me start getting it sanded down and cleaned up! I then spent the next several hours sanding off all the rust--of which there was much--and then I took her for a nice looong test run! The brakes work fine...it's a 3-speed which I love and can handle...all it needs are some new tires! HOO-FREAKIN-RAY!!!)
8. Brad Frank stopped over for a surprise visit...I showed him my bike then we sat on the back porch eating yogurt and watching the storm roll in.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day as well! G'nite!

Bruise
![](http://www.extremedreams.co.uk/funnies/Bruise.jpg)
There is much I want to write, but unfortunately it is 4am and I have to be up for a work meeting at 9am. *sigh* Also unfortunate is the fact that I am not even remotely tired. And even *more* unfortunate still is the fact that I do not have a digital camera in my possession at this exact moment in time. For if I did, then I would surely upload pictures of the lovely plum colored bruise currently residing on my hip as a result of "silent" ball and breakdancing with Mat. It is quite a doozie! (Though it cannot compare to the one I got as a result of flying off of Parrish's jet ski 2 summers ago...but really, what bruise could?)
I also have swelling on both of my wrists, and one is severely discolored--somewhere between bright red and brown, as well as some bruises on the tops of my hands, pain where I was smashed in the nose, and a nasty ankle injury to my left foot as a result of a failed attempt at this. (That's pretty close to what my attempts looked like too...haha)
Whatever though...it was all in good fun. And, much like the game of tetherball, the bruises are our trophies that make it all worth it! Am I right, Will? Of course I am! Goodnite!
p.s. Does this little teth-loving boy remind anyone else of a wee Joel??? Cause it did me! haha
